I used to love all those disney movies/shows like mickey mouse, toy story, or buzz lightyear. Why did they turn on me and start making crap stuff like High school musical (bunch of stupid preps), hannah montannah (stupid ass whore thinks she’s a "rockstar"), and all those remakes of movies. WTF can some one tell me why?
My relationship with Disney has changed over the last few years.
I used to be a massive fan, they were the number 1 company for me, I found them to be so glitz and glamor with making great movies and dreams come true.
That has changed somewhat now, with their sequels to movies that really should be just kept singular (eg. Cinderella, Jungle Book, Little Mermaid). I didn’t enjoy Wall - E and the film before that, though Up was pretty good.
Also what has come out through Youtube about Disney’s possible agenda with their subliminal messages. It is true, Disney are consciously putting subliminal messages into their films, music and rides, there is too much proof just to blame on one artist at one time period - it has developed over time. Many samples of this are still on Youtube - though Youtube are cracking down on them as Youtube do what they are paid to do.
I still have hope for Disney, I really enjoyed "Pirates of the Caribbean" and look forward to their new "Frog and the Princess". Though my perspective of Disney has changed from *the magic makers* to a business pumping out merchandise.
All the best
